The printing company Druckerei Kyburz AG (Dielsdorf/Switzerland) works with a new Cutting-System 200 from Polar-Mohr. The high-performance cutting system replaces a 20-year-old system from the same manufacturer. According to the managing director Patrick Kyburz, solid machine construction, high cutting precision and an extraordinarily high level of user-friendliness are the decisive reasons why once again the decision was made in favour of proven Polar cutting technology. The machine is mainly operated in two shifts.
The heart of the new Cutting System 200 is a Polar high-speed cutter N 137 AT, operated by a generous 21.5-inch touch screen. The letters AT stand for Autotrim, which means that paper waste is removed from the working area after each cut via the automatically opening front table. For loading and unloading the paper layers, peripheral Polar components relieve the operator during work. From the jogging table the layers are moved directly to the cutting machine table. A Transomat E takes over the finished cut labels and places them layer by layer on pallets. Thanks to a movable flap on the front part of the Transomat lift, each individual layer is stacked perfectly aligned. These perfectly clean stacks facilitate a reliable and delay-free process in further processing.
Druckerei Kyburz AG is specialized in the production of complex printed products with a high degree of personalization for direct marketing. Its services are often unique and are recognized by customers beyond the borders of Switzerland. Druckerei Kyburz AG generates about thirty percent of its turnover in the market of the European Union.
